Sony Music's Record-Breaking Acquisition

And a look at the larger Sony Music Acquisitions in the last decade

Sony Music's Record-Breaking Acquisition

Now they are rumored to spend another $1 billion on the Queen catalog which would make it the largest single music catalog deal in history.

This is probably why CEO, Rob Stringer can say “We are undoubtedly the most aggressive major music group in M&A.”

Focus on the sub $150 million deals where multiples are more reasonable.

The larger transactions will require significant marketing, creativity, infrastructure and capital to pay off.
